The food at the La Terra Promessa Winery combines two sumptuous cuisines: Italian and Indian (from Kerala state in southern India). Sandro and Irit, who are members of the International Slow Food movement, show their respect for these cuisines by continuing the traditions of the two families, yet serving the meals in an original manner. This is not fusion, but the serving of the two cuisines side by side.
Irit’s dishes combine the ginger, curry leaves (vepla) and coriander that are found in many traditional Cochin dishes, and Sandro’s Italian cuisine makes use of recipes which have been passed down through the generations, such as lasagna and liver and tongue dishes. We recommend that you accompany your meal with one of La Terra Promessa’s wines in order to enjoy the experience to the fullest.
